The Best so Far! - The 2018 Farmers Ball & Farming Awards at High Rocks, Tunbridge Wells!
August 2019 UPDATE - 210 of 300 Tickets RESERVED! - DON'T MISS OUT! RESERVE YOURS NOW!
A huge thank you to all who attended, supported and sponsored The Farmers Ball and Farming Awards on Saturday 1st December at the High Rocks. We had a fantastic evening and the new venue was extremely well received. Such a great time was had by all that within half a day of launching next year’s event, 102 of the 300 tickets available have already been reserved!
As well as enjoying ourselves immensely, the night raised the fantastic figure of £1,850 for the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance.
We sold out this year, so make your reservation for tickets early. Payment isn't required until 6 weeks before the ball. Table sizes can be any number, though smaller groups may be joined together if less than 8.
In the last year the RAMSAK agrena staff have witnessed two incidents involving Kent, Sussex and Surrey Air Ambulance. This drove us to support the charity for this year’s Farmers Ball. This emergency service is essential to our farming community. We mostly live in rural areas, where transport by road just takes too long and this can mean the difference between life and death for some emergency call outs.
Keeping a charity like this running is costly and complicated. Flying and maintaining the aircraft 24 hours a day, buying vital supplies and equipment, training the best teams in the air and on the ground adds up.
It costs £11 million each year to continue this life-saving work. It sounds like a lot of money, but each penny makes a difference. £1 can pay for one sheet of bubblewrap to keep the critically unwell or injured warm, £1,500 pays for fuel for 10 missions and £3,700 pays for the cost of one life-saving mission. We never know when it could be us or a loved one who is in a situation requiring this invaluable service.
Thank you for all the support on the evening, we hope to finalise our figures and announce our donation very soon.
